    Description

A beautiful collectible set of four U.S. postage stamps issued in 1973 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the introduction of Scottish Black Angus Cattle to the United States. George Grant transported four Scottish Black Angus cattle from Scotland to his ranch on the Kansas Prairie in 1873. He crossbred the bulls with native Texas Longhorn cattle and produced a superior breed of hornless black calves that wintered well on the Kansas praire.
These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the Post Office almost 50 years ago!  Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift to anyone who works on a cattle ranch or collects cow memorabilia!
