Civil War Kepi Confederate or Union Forage Cap Shako Milliners Hat Mold 1860s

Description

Hat mold, ca 1860s for a forage or kepi type hat.  These were common Civil War hats but were also in the style of continental military forces of the periods.  The forage cap was based on the older shako hat form.
Large X on the bottom with old stamped numbers.  Appears to be hand-carved.
Bottom dimensions are 8 x 6.5".  Large inked number "104" on the bottom.
