Thermocouple and tilt switch defect is just one reason, it cannot solve all defect problem of your heater. So firstly you have to exclude other
possibilities of the defect and if need to replace the part above then choose this.Sometime the gas valve need to be replaced as well.
Make sure the thermocoupler is well connected with the dump switch.
Make sure the thermocouple head is already in right position and heated by the flame all ways
( if cannot heated by flame sometimes, thermocoupler easy shut off and fire goes out.）
